Gigi

Hi there, my name is Georgieanna, but everyone calls me Gigi -- (much like Ann in the song Rocky Racoon, "her name was McGil, she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.")

I just recently turned 46, but only accepted my transgendered personality in the last year - so life really begins at 45!! As with most of my Tri-Ess sisters my first forays into cross dressing began at an early age - 9. The first experiences were mostly trying on my mothers' old wornout bras and panties after they hit the rag bag. At eleven I had my first full-blown experience of dressing completely. I was entrusted with the duty of watching our neighbors' house for the week- they were gone on vacation, and as luck would have it the first weekend they were gone the rest of my family was out of town on a swim team trip.

Luckily for me, the neighbors' wife was a large size, so, since I was a rather large youth there was no chance of me stretching anything out of shape. That whole weekend I was like Imelda in a shoe store! Everytime I went to the neighbors' house, it was straight to the closet! I continued the whole week while they were gone, and also every time I had to babysit. Alas, when my babysitting days ended my dressing ceased until I graduated from college. Throughout my adult life I have gone through what seems to be the accepted CD cycle of binge-purge. I never dressed for heightened erotic feeling - it just seemed so natural to wear the clothes! The Internet was probably the major catalyst in my finally realizing and accepting my transgendered side. In November, 2000, I got my PC, and shortly thereafter I started searching the Internet and chatting with other cd/tv/tg/ts individuals. At this time I also started dressing again on a daily basis while online, to feel more the part. Around the end of May, after having been dressing at home daily, I made a weekend trip to visit some friends in Texas who did not know of Gigi. Out of respect for them, Gigi disappeared for the weekend -but enough was enough, on the way home I visited a Wal-Mart, purchased some items, stopped at the firsr rest stop to change, and drove the next 500 miles, semi "en femmme", no makeup or wig, but increasingly more comfortable as the miles rolled by. After returning home, I chatted with a CD in Chicago named Jeanette, relating, my story to her- and she told me of Tri-Ess, and I connected with them. I interviewed them, they interviewed me, and last June I made my debut at Pride Fest in Denver. I feel very comfortable presenting Gigi in public now, and enjoy exploring GiGi's world. I also enjoy writing poetry. My poem "Half A Life-Half Alive" won an award in a poetry contest. I am ever so thankful to Jeanette for connecting me to Tri-Ess, and for the existance of an organization that makes it possible for me to explore, express and interact in the world, with others of this ilk. Afer all, think about it- as we girls age we need support hose, support bras- why not a support group! Life is a party - put on your best and join us!! Hugs,
Gigi
