Transgenderism (TG) is a spectrum. The term "Transgenderism" and its acronym "TG" encompass a variety of people at different stages of exploring a gender that is different then what society has subscribed to them based on their birth genitalia. Transgenderism is different from and to some degree apart from sexual orientation (heterosexual, Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual). In the TG community, you will often hear the expression, "Sex is what is between the legs and gender is what is between the ears." Though to those who are new to the term "transgenderism," it may seem implausible if not impossible, it is true that a person can be heterosexual (a biological man sexually attracted to a biological woman) and cross-gendered (identifies themself to some degree as female or needing to express and give realization to a femmine persona). This section will help those who are interested in exploring the various aspects of being TG and in particular give focus to one part of the TG spectrum that emcompasses the heterosexual crossdresser.
